The Mission of Ellwood Eye Clinic, is to fulfill the vision and eye care needs and thus enhance the quality of life of the public.
We are independent health care providers who examine and manage conditions and disorders of the visual system, the eye and associated structures as well as related systemic conditions.
DR. JASON LAU
Following the completion of a Specialized Microbiology degree from the University of Alberta, Dr. Jason Lau graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York in New York City. Internships include the Glaucoma Institute for Clinical Research and Education in NYC, as well as The Laser Eye Centers (TLC) in Miami, FL. A Residency in Ocular Disease in Seattle, WA followed an extensive rotation at the Castlepoint Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital in NY. These experiences allowed him to bolster a genuine interest in the management of Glaucoma and Oculo-systemic Disorders, to which he has dedicated much of his practice.
DR. AMIT MATHUR
After pharmacology studies at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Amit Mathur went on to pursue his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. His education in Canada and clinical training in both Canada and in the United States in Houston, TX includes subspecialties in Retina and Glaucoma. He has a devoted interest in custom Post-Refractive surgery contact lenses, with published articles in this area. Graduating at the top of his class, he has extensive experience co- managing in a large Refractive Laser Surgery center. Additionally, he concentrates in the management of Computer Vision Syndromes.
